The past few weeks have blown by in the blink of an eye. I’ve been super busy lately.
Deadlines, meetings, and other events.
I think tonight was the first night since I got my laptop that I haven’t lugged my laptop home to do some work. The past week has been so crazy. So it’s nice to get a little break - even if it’s only for 1 night.
But as you can see… I’m still on the computer.
I’m not sure if I can completely unplug.
And speaking of the “virtual leash” - crackberry much?
I swear, I can feel the phantom ringing on my belt all the time!

I am a Democrat at heart, and I hate the idea that I may become like my dad (who is a diehard Republican). It seems as I grow older I grow to be more and more like him.
My guy Barack came out with an amazing speech this week. If you haven’t seen it yet, you have to watch it. His oratory skills are like no other, and if you don’t give him some credit for the speech - then you just aren’t truly listening.
Some people don’t listen. Some just can’t play by the rules.
I just can’t understand how some people don’t think the rules apply to them. Just like single drivers driving in the carpool lane. What makes you so fuckin’ special?!?!
So I have to ask, “what makes Florida and Michigan so freakin’ special that they don’t have to play by the rules?” They broke the Democratic primary rules, and now they want their delegates seated? FUCK NO! They think they can move their primaries up to be more special than others? Well, they get what they deserve!
Offering re-elections is preposterous. It just gives them what they wanted in the first place… the spotlight, the added importance. If they should get their delegates seated, then split it 50-50. Their delegates will be in Denver, but their addition is without determining consequence.
The Democratic party is partially to blame in the fact that they should have clearly stated from the get go that there would be no Democrat primaries in those states. Maybe the total primary ban is not allowed, but the consequences should have been unequivically laid out on the table. Fine, vote in the primary, but their votes won’t matter… oh wait, that’s what Clinton said!
You broke the rules (no matter what you think of the rules) and now you should face the econsequences.
Disenfranchisement may seem harsh, but rules are not meant to be broken.

This week has seemed to fly by, and even though I do get spoiled with scheduled Friday’s off, I still bitch and complain about having to work a full week. For those of you that don’t know, my employer has everyone work 8.5 hour days and with those extra 30 minutes everyday, they schedule certain Friday’s off throughout the year. Every month we get 2 days off. If there’s a holiday, we get the holiday off and then one scheduled Friday. If there are no holidays (like this month) then we get two Fridays off… it’s a pretty sweet deal!
Within my first 2 years of working here I rarely got a chance to take these days off. But since coming back from Europe (beginning of the year) our workload has dramatically dropped… not that I’m complaining, but it has given me time to do other things such as some of my side work with files, fixing certain template files, organizing some files and working on SMPS tasks.
So as of lately, I’ve been able to take all my Fridays off. It’s nice. We essentially get 2 3day weekends per month. We do get spoiled! And working an extra half hour is no big deal anyway. Most people probably work those extra 30 minutes anyway!
Things are back to normal and this my wifey and I celebrated our THIRD ANNIVERSARY!!!
Wow, it’s gone by sooo quickly! I can’t believe it. Married for 3 years – together for over 6 years. Time really flies by!
I can still remember the day I met my wifey at the bar. She was…. er, nevermind that. Anyway, we seemed pretty young and things are so different now.
I can’t believe it’s been 11 years here in Arizona!
